Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently bestowed with one of the top business and corporate awards across Africa. Dr. Mahtani is a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia. For his contributions towards the banking sector of Zambia and redefining it, Dr. Mahtani received the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021.
The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards is certainly one of the most highly anticipated award ceremonies across Africa. The 2021 event was held online as a result of the ongoing pandemic and participants joined the ceremony from their respective locations. Mark Furlong, the founder of FAM and Forbes International, was the anchor of the event. There are several other members who officiated the award ceremony, including Vice-President Osinbajo.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani accepted the award gracefully, thanking almighty god for his support and providing strength during trials & tribunals. Dr. Mahtani further states that he was deeply honoured and humbled after receiving this award. Yet, the fame does not deter him from making contributions towards the growth and development of Zambian nation as well as Africa. Apart from that, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani also thanked his team for conducting all major responsibilities and ensuring continuous success of his projects and businesses.
Dr. Mahtani is the owner of several top companies in Zambia, including Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. His companies are known to have significant socio-economic influence with increasing industry standards, providing employment and livelihood opportunities. Dr. Mahtani is also known for his philanthropic and charitable contributions. Some of his top charitable contributions include Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
