Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani Wins Case At Higher Court, Evidences Were Enough For Verdict

The judge at the higher Court of Appeal was justice Mwinde and after evaluating all evidences and testimonials, final judgement was declared on 31st January 2019. According to this final decision, Dr. Mahtani on behalf of Finsbury Investments made a payment of one billion kwachas to the Portland Cement limited. This amount was paid for covering the entire value of the share capital which Dr. Mahtani took over from the factory. Furthermore, the original agreement between shareholders confirmed the fact that the above payment gave Dr. Mahtani 58 percent shares of the Portland Cement Zambia factory. Based on these crucial evidences, Dr. Mahtani was awarded the majority shareholding and legal ownership of the factory.
